    LIFE SKILLS TRAINING MODULES

    1. Understanding self: a) identity b) habits c) living a balanced life

    ▪ Understanding their core strengths.

    ▪ Understand the need for a balance in life.

    ▪ Review your habits and create healthier habits.

    2. Managing self: a) goal setting b) health is wealth c) grooming and etiquette d) time management

    ▪ Understand how to set meaningful goals.

    ▪ To handle themselves in a way that shows that they have a great tomorrow.

    ▪ Have a detailed plan on at least 3 areas of their life.

    ▪ Manage their time in relation to who they want to become tomorrow.

    3. Interacting with others: a) communication and conflict resolution b) team work c) gender d)

    relationships, sex and marriage

    ▪ Know how to deal with conflict.

    ▪ Communicate better with others.

    ▪ Work well with others.

    ▪ Relationships with the opposite sex.

    EMPLOYABILITY MODULES

    1. Personal leadership: a) personal responsibility b) thinking for success c) leadership development

    ▪ Take responsibility for how you think and act.

    ▪ Understand the value of positive thinking.

    ▪ Understand the pitfalls of popular thinking and benefits of shared thinking.

    ▪ Appreciate what it takes to be a leader.

    2. Career planning: a) self-assessment b) technology and the global economy

    ▪ Establish your position (where you currently are in life).

    ▪ Prepare a plan for reaching your goals

    3. Tools and skills for employment: a) CV writing skills b) interpersonal communication skills c) interview skills d) presentation skills

    ▪ Be able to develop a CV, resume, application letter and cover letter.

    ▪ Prepare for a job interview-interview tips before, during and after interview.

    ▪ Participants to identify the most effective and least effective behaviors of interpersonal skills.

    4. Grooming and etiquette

    ▪ Learn modern manners for the business world.

    ▪ Learn workplace and office etiquette.

    ▪ Email etiquette and business writing: professional online behavior.

    ▪ Building a professional image.

    5. Gender and employment: a) sex and gender b) gender relations c) cycle of gender gaps d)

    gender inequalities e) gender participation in society f) sexual harassment in the workplace

    ▪ To explore differences between sex and gender.

    ▪ To explore gender relations in participants’ own life.

    ▪ To acquire awareness of the cycle of gender gaps.

    ▪ Develop an understanding of structures that perpetuate gender inequalities at the level of household, community, workplace and the state.

    6. Financial literacy

    ▪ Learn how to save, budget, and invest

    ▪ Minimise liabilities

    ▪ Financial independence

    This training will take place over 6 days, on Fridays for two hours
