Articles Training Contract

To fulfill the qualification requirements of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Zimbabwe (ICAZ), trainee accountants are required to acquire practical experience through a training contract with any Accredited Training Office (ATO). The duration of the training contract is contingent on the entry-level of the trainee. Trainee accountants who commence their training after the Initial Test of Competence (ITC) are typically granted a 36-month contract. Conversely, those joining a training office directly after completing A-Level education are offered a 60-month contract.

Upon the successful completion of this work-based training program, coupled with the passing of the Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) exams, a trainee accountant becomes eligible for admission as a member of the ICAZ professional body.
