Ensure regulatory and reporting compliance at the entry-level: ATs(Z) are conscious of VAT regulations, other tax compliance requirements, such as filling out tax and VAT returns, and other employee-related regulations.

  • Minimum of 5 o levels passes including Mathematics and English – level 1 (ZNQF 3) entry, or
  • 2 a level passes including accounting and mathematics – level 2 (ZNQF 4) entry or
  • Degrees, diplomas, and other qualifications shall be assessed with reference to the ZNQF framework to determine the entry qualifying entry pathway.

Elliot T Wonenyika

Managing Director

Mr Elliot Wonenyika was appointed as the Managing director in 2018, having joined the Chartered Accountants Academy in 2013 during the foundational years for the Academy. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAZ) education committee, as well as a technical adviser supporting Auditing and Tax committees. He is currently a non-executive director of Bened Engineering (Pvt) Limited and Money Experts Proprietary Limited, where he also serves as a Chairman of the Finance committee. Elliot is a holder of a Master of Arts in Education, which he obtained in 2021.

Zvinotendesa L Mapetere

Executive Head Academic Operations

Accomplished Chartered Accountant (CA(Z)) and Registered Public Accountant with over 22 years of progressive experience, including 10 years of post-Articles and 12 years of management-level pre-Articles work. An MBA in Strategy graduate from Edinburgh Business School, Zvino combines deep tax advisory expertise (Transfer Pricing, Income Tax, VAT, CGT) with a proven track record in structuring and managing high-value public-private partnership (PPP) initiatives. Dynamic educator and examiner for ICAZ and SAICA, recognized for curriculum development, webinar presentations, and thought leadership.

Tungamirai Chitsika CA (Z)

Seasoned accounting professional and educator with over 6 years of progressive experience in financial reporting, audit coordination, and professional training. As Subject Head of Financial Accounting & Reporting at the Chartered Accountants Academy, Tungamirai specializes in delivering high-impact lectures, mentoring aspiring accountants, and ensuring curriculum excellence. Adept at IFRS application, statutory compliance, and operational leadership in both education and industry settings.

Nyasha Gonyora (CA)Z
