CTA Part-Time

The CTA Part-Time Program is tailored for individuals who are actively engaged in full-time employment, whether with an ICAZ Accredited Training Office (ATO) or any other employer. The program is structured to accommodate the unique challenges faced by working professionals, recognising their limited time availability due to work demands and other responsibilities. The Part-Time CTA Program spans two years, offering Flexibility to accommodate the diverse demands of participants, especially those engaged in full-time employment.
  • Designed for a working student, who has limited time for studies.
  • Flexible scheduling through block classes that are done once a month and a minimum of 2 online classes per week.
  • Topics are spread over two years thereby spreading the learning load over time to compensate for time constrains arising from work commitments.
  • You complete your studies whilst at the same time you are meeting requirements of your training contract, thus enabling you to qualify as a Chartered Accountant within 3 years post graduating.
  • Enables immediate transfer of learnt knowledge and skills to the workplace environment.

The Retakers Program is designed as an online session, providing support and additional resources for individuals who are retaking the CTA program. The key features of the Retakers Program include:

  • Online Format: The program is conducted entirely online, allowing retakers to access the sessions remotely. Online delivery provides flexibility for participants to engage with the content from any location.
  • Minimum of 4 Sessions: The Retakers Program consists of a minimum of four sessions per semester. Each session is structured to last for two hours, allowing for focused and targeted review of key concepts.
  • Semester-Based Structure:The program aligns with the academic semester structure, providing retakers with ongoing support throughout the designated time frame.
  • Review and Reinforcement:The sessions are designed to review and reinforce critical concepts covered in the CTA program. Retakers can benefit from targeted discussions, clarification of challenging topics, and additional practice opportunities.
  • Interactive Learning: The online sessions foster interactive learning, allowing participants to engage with instructors and peers. Interactive elements may include discussions, Q&A sessions, and collaborative problem-solving.
  • Focused Support:The Retakers Program aims to provide focused support tailored to the specific needs of individuals retaking components of the CTA program. Instructors may address common challenges, offer targeted resources, and provide guidance for improvement.
  • Flexible Access:Participants can access recorded sessions or other resources at their convenience, offering flexibility in managing their study schedule.

CTA Part-time 1

  • Accounting degree with a degree class 2.2 or better or
  • Professional accounting qualifications (ACCA or CGI etc)
  • ICAZ/SAICA accredited CTA bridging course for non accounting degree holders
  • Qualification must have been attained within the last 5 years

 

CTA Part-time 2

  • A pass in an ICAZ or SAICA accredited CTA Part-time year 1
  • A post graduate SAICA accredited bridging course
